Softwarematig of hardwarematige datavernietiging

We kunnen je data zowel softwarematig als mechanisch vernietigen. Softwarematige vernietiging betekent dat je hardware zelf intact blijft. Je toestel (bijvoorbeeld een laptop of computer) blijft daardoor bruikbaar en kan een tweede leven krijgen via hergebruik. Als je kiest voor hardwarematige vernietiging wordt je toestel volledig vernietigd. Een tweede leven is dan uitgesloten.
